“Do not play with passion, or you may regret,” President Hassan Rouhani said on Sunday in remarks addressed at Trump, Iranian news agency IRNA reported. “Iranian people will be the master and they will never bow to anyone.”

The Iranian president, who is viewed as a moderate leader against conservative forces from the Islamic Republic, said that the White House is”intervening across the area.”

Trump has long been a staunch critic of Iran and frequently condemned the 2015 nuclear deal, formally called the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), prior to taking office. The president announced in May the U.S. would formally draw from the agreement, which had been signed together with Iran along with five other world powers. After Trump’s conclusion, Secretary of State Mike Pompeo promised to implement the”most powerful sanctions in background” against Tehran.

Iranian leaders also fear the U.S. might be contemplating an invasion of the nation.

Baqeri added that”based on precise information,” that the Trump administration has been”attempting to persuade the U.S. army to establish an invasion [of Iran].”

However, Secretary of State Mike Pompeo recently said that the administration’s actions are intended to encourage the citizens of the Islamic Republic.

“It is not feasible to provoke the Iranian people against the country’s interests and security,” Rouhani said. “You are declaring war against Iran and at the same time maintain support [to] them”

In June, Iranian leaders additionally warned the Tehran was prepared for almost any military aggression from the overseas. Major General Yahya Rahim Safavi, the top military adviser to Iranian supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei stated that the nation’s armed forces are well prepared to deal with any military threat by the U.S., Israel and their allies.
